The Threat Of Plagiarism To Term Papers

Term papers and research papers are a form of academic writing which are typically built around the student debating and arguing a point and are of great academic value to the student.

The significance:

Term papers have been in use by academic institutions and universities for over a century now, with an entry into public education in the late 1900’s academic writing has become an integral part of the educational system.

A major part of the course curriculum is taken up by the paper in itself and a major part of the grade the student receives is dependant on the quality of the papers submitted. The paper must be authentic and original as stipulated by all academic organizations.

Plagiarism:

Plagiarism has been rampant since academic papers began to gain popularity and significance. Since as early as 1900 just ten years after its foray into mainstream education, students began to turn to others to write and complete their academic papers for them. Today there are various individuals, companies and even websites where a student can turn to in a quest for ghost written academic papers.

There are papers which contain original content as well, which can be custom written for the said student at a higher associated cost. Needless to say this is against the policy at all universities and students are expected to write their own papers.

Plagiarism is rampant as papers are copied from other articles on the internet and published by multiple students as their own original work. Students are severely punished and can lose up to a term in their education upon usage of plagiarized papers.
